Navalny’s Family Accuses Investigators of Blackmail and Secrecy in Handling of His Remains

“The investigators say they know the cause of death, they have all the medical and legal documents. According to the law, they should have already handed over Alexei’s remains to me, but they haven’t. Instead, they are blackmailing me and trying to impose where, when, and how Alexei should be buried,” Navalnaya said.

According to her testimony, the investigators demanded that Navalny be buried secretly. In case of refusal, “something” will be done with his body.

Navalnaya said she spent 24 hours in Salehar’s Investigative Committee building with investigators and criminologists. She remembers that the lawyers were only allowed into the building later.

Navalny’s press secretary Kira Yarmish states that the medical examination indicates that Navalny died of “natural causes”.

It has already been reported that Navalny died in prison on February 16 at the age of 47.

According to the authorities, Navalny felt sick after the walk and lost consciousness.
