Nationwide raid against undeclared work – FFH.de

Nationwide raid against undeclared work: 700 officers have been on duty since morning and search offices and private rooms. The focus of the investigation is in Frankfurt – there were also three preliminary arrests there.

The main suspect, a 54-year-old man, has also been arrested for the time being, according to investigators. He is said to have cheated on a large scale for seven years. A customs spokeswoman said to FFH: “The suspect has a construction company with which he is said to have had a turnover of around 70 million euros.” His employees were paid black via bogus companies – so he is said to have saved several million euros in taxes.

Searches also in other Hessian cities

In other Hessian cities, too, searches are still being carried out in the morning and nationwide, including in Bremen, Hanover, Stuttgart and Cologne.

The police and customs investigated for seven years before the big illegal worker access started today.
