National Taxi Federation Protests Demerit System in Kaidao: Transport Minister Responds

Zhang Jiyu, the captain of the national team, said that although the demerit points are currently suspended, this is just a blank check. He hopes that the law will be revised to cancel the demerit system.

In this regard, Minister of Transportation Wang Guocai was interviewed by the media today when he attended the annual meeting of donors and the tea party to celebrate the 67th anniversary of the establishment of the Taiwan Tourism Association. He said that the demerit system is because repeat offenders continue to violate the rules, but they only pay money, so he hopes to use The demerit system deters recidivism.

Wang Guocai said that because temporary parking on the roadside is inconvenient, it will cause some difficulties for taxis and trucks. Therefore, until the environment is not ready in June next year, it will be postponed.
