Natalie often feels misunderstood, because you cannot immediately tell that she is ill. “It is difficult to understand or explain, because when you say: I am so tired, everyone says: ‘Yes, I am tired sometimes’. People say, “You look good, don’t you?” It would actually have been more convenient if I had all purple bumps, ”says Natalie.

The Health Council concluded two years ago that ME / CFS is a serious systemic disease. Nevertheless, Natalie received a remarkable result from the UWV when she applied for benefits: she was suitable to work six hours a day. Natalie was dumbfounded.
