For more than 20 years, astronauts have been taking pictures of Earth from the International Space Station (ISS). Now the opportunity is open to participate in selecting the best photos that have been taken of our planet.
Astronauts on the ISS have brought us unique views of our home planet in all its wonder, beauty and ferocity. They have also made some interesting and timely scientific observations along the way.
More than 1,000 of those photos have been posted on the NASA Earth Observatory.
And the Earth Observatory reported in a statement what would you like to help you choose the best from your photo files.
In early March, they will launch a Earth Tournament: Astronaut Photography (Tournament Earth: Astronaut Photography), y If you are interested, you can be part of the selection committee.

From now until February 19, 2021, Search the archives of the Earth Observatory and point to the best photos taken by astronauts.

Note that there are over 30 pages of images to scroll through: an Internet burrow of incredible beauty.
In March 2021, the Earth Observatory will include some of the selections in Tournament Earth, a face-to-face contest to vote for the best of the best from our archives.
And then each week, readers will choose between pairs of images as we narrow the field from 32 nominees to one champion. And the champion image of the Earth Tournament will be announced in early April.
