A small homemade bomb exploded in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sunday, January 24, in Nantes. The mixture would have been made in a bottle of cola, with hydrochloric acid and aluminum.
The sound of the explosion sowed a rapid wind of panic, rue de la Maison-Blanche, district of Breil in Nantes, Sunday, January 24. At around 4 p.m., a bottle containing a homemade mixture exploded in front of the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Police were alerted after a security guard heard a bang, as revealed by our colleagues from Press-Ocean. There was no injury or damage.
A second detonation would have sounded a few hours later, around 9 p.m., in the same street, where a bottle was also discovered.
The perpetrator (s) would have, according to our information, used a small homemade bomb, made in a bottle of coke with hydrochloric acid and aluminum. The bottle was reportedly thrown from the building opposite, from the third floor. The accommodation has already been identified by investigators. Without a doubt “A schoolboy joke”, grumbled a policeman. But the case is considered serious enough to be handed over to the Nantes judicial police, especially since the events took place in front of a ministerial building.
When asked, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not answer our questions.
