My Salary Enough To Rent A Helicopter, This Is Not A Luxury Life

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli bahuri ensure, he will attend the trial of alleged violation of the code of ethics that was held KPK Supervisory Board, Tuesday (25/8/2020) today.

“I am a working person, in principle I just keep working. I will attend because this trial is an activity carried out as a form of the mandate of the law, “Firli said in a press release, Monday (24/8/2020) evening.

Firli admits that he appreciates the trial as a mechanism to provide clarification and explain the details of the object of the problem.

He also admitted that he did not intend to show a luxurious life when using a helicopter on his personal journey from Palembang to Baturaja in June 2020.

“We do not embrace a luxurious life and not a luxurious lifestyle, but we do it because of the need and the demands of the speed of work,” said Firli

Firli said the helicopter used was a rental helicopter paid through his salary.

He also denied the accusation that the helicopter trip was the result of gratification.

“Everything I do is for the convenience of my job and not for luxury. My salary is sufficient to pay for the rental of the helicopters and this is not a luxury life, I pay all expenses myself,” he said.

Firli Bahuri was complained to the KPK Supervisory Board because he was deemed to have violated ethics related to a luxurious lifestyle.

The luxurious lifestyle in question is when Firli uses a helicopter owned by a private company on Firli’s private journey from Palembang to Baturaja.

Firli is suspected of violating the code of ethics and code of conduct ‘Integrity’ in Article 4 Paragraph (1) letter c or Article 4 Paragraph (1) letter n or Article 4 Paragraph (2) letter m and / or ‘Leadership’ in Article 8 paragraph (1 ) letter f KPK Supervisory Board Regulation Number: 02 of 2020.
