Tesla boss Elon Musk and his Canadian girlfriend had a child and gave it the name X Æ A-12. The new mother explains what this is supposed to stand for on Twitter.

Elon Musk already has five children, and now the Tesla boss has become a father again. “Mom and child are fine,” wrote the 48-year-old US entrepreneur in a thread on Twitter. A user had asked if there was any news about the baby. The new father reveals even more details: The baby is a boy, he gave the name when asked by a twitter user: “X Æ A-12 Musk”. The conversation in the short message service was actually about a report about Musk’s Tesla car brand.

Grimes, the child’s mother, later tweeted something like an explanation of the importance of baby name on Twitter – but it created more confusion than clarity. Accordingly, X stands for the unknown variable. Æ is borrowed from the elven alphabet and stands for AI, which means love and artificial intelligence. A-12 seems to be an airplane type and finally A stands for their favorite song Archangel (see Tweet below). The waves are on Twitter. Some users think the name is great, others just plain stupid, and still others assume that the two fresh parents are just kidding,

A friend after two marriages
The Canadian singer Grimes (real name Claire Boucher) and the entrepreneur have been a couple since 2018. With an Instagram post of her baby bump in January, the musician fueled speculation that the two could expect to have a child together. Musk also called the singer his girlfriend on Twitter.

With his ex-wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson, Musk has five sons, twins and triplets. All of them have quite normal names. In 2010 he married British actress Talulah Riley. The couple divorced in 2012, remarried, but filed for divorce again in 2016.
