In the series “an(ge)thought” (30 minutes of music and words), a young ensemble led by the traverso flautist Maria Kruse will be guests next Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in the town church of St. Marien Celle. Together with Anna Lodone (viola da gamba) and Danica Buric (harpsichord) she plays French and German baroque music on historical instruments.
Martin Prüwer designs the text parts of the devotion. At the beginning the Sonata in E minor opus 2.1 by Jean-Marie Leclair the Younger (1703 – 1777) can be heard. Little is known about this younger brother of the much more famous Jean-Marie Leclair the Elder, who was murdered in 1764 under unclear circumstances. However, the Sonata in E major BWV 1035 by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 – 1750) is one of the most popular pieces for this instrumentation due to its light, friendly tone.
