The President’s Award in Athletics will take place this year from August 14 to 15 in Ogre, Ogre County Sports Center Stadium. For two days, the strongest athletes in the Baltic States will compete both in individual disciplines and for the title of the strongest athletics team.

The competition will be held for the 26th time this year. Jānis Daliņš Stadium in Valmiera is considered to be the home of the President’s Award in Athletics, but this year, taking into account the reconstruction of the stadium, the competition will take place in Ogre. It is planned that next year the competition will return to its usual home – the renovated Jānis Daliņš Athletics Stadium.

The main awards are given to athletes and teams at a special reception at the President’s Palace in Riga Castle.
