The criminal trail is now confirmed after the discovery Thursday evening of a dead teenager in an apartment on fire in Nantes. The city prosecutor’s office has just opened an investigation for intentional homicide. “If the death of the young girl is of criminal origin,
the fire found is not the cause, ”said Olivier Bonhomme, deputy prosecutor of Nantes.
“The firefighters discovered the body while intervening on the scene of an apartment from the window of which was coming out smoke,” he added. The judicial police were seized of the investigation. The firefighters had indicated Thursday evening to have tried to revive “the victim, a 16-year-old girl”, who “was declared dead by the SMUR doctor”.
Two fire starts in the apartment
According to West France, the firefighters noted “two starts of fire in two different rooms” and the body of the young girl “gave off a chemical odor which could suggest that it is bleach”.
