Murder in Moss

Eastern police district received a report of murder in a house in the center of Moss on Tuesday night.

– The police moved out to the place where a person was found dead, the police write on Twitter.

The police state that a suspected perpetrator has been arrested in the home.

Tom Sandberg, operations manager in the Eastern police district, informs Dagbladet that the police were notified at 18.54.

– A phone call came in to us, he explains.

Sandberg will not provide further details about those involved or the circumstances now, as the relatives have not been notified.

– Undramatic arrest

The police task force leader Anders Strømsæther informs Dagbladet’s reporter on the spot that the suspected perpetrator is being driven to the central detention center at Grålum, where forensic technicians will take track security.

“After that, the person in question will probably be examined by a doctor,” he told Dagbladet.

Strømsæther says that the arrest was undramatic.

– We do not suspect more involved. Now we have a survey, and are waiting for forensic technicians. Interrogation of people in close contact and the perpetrator will take place in the future, says the task leader.

He points out that people in the area should not worry.

– We have control over a lot in the case. There is no need to worry. The surrounding area is completely safe, says Strømsæther.

– Surprised

Dagbladet has been in contact with several neighbors in the area who are very surprised by the murder report. Neighbors have not heard or seen anything suspicious Tuesday night.

– We are surprised because it is a very quiet area, the neighbors say.

Another resident tells Dagbladet that she did not notice anything until she had to empty the rubbish and suddenly saw the police.

Police write on Twitter that they aim to return with a press release during the evening.
