At least eleven mass shootings, in which twelve people were killed and 52 others injured, occurred in the United States last Halloween weekend, according to a CNN report.
Analysis of the data shows that most of the eleven shootings took place in crowded locations, including family reunions and sporting events. There were three shootings in Illinois alone. Two people were killed and twelve injured in a shootout at a Halloween party.
Shootings have increased in the United States since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the US archives, there have been 599 mass shootings so far this year.
