MU Now Better With Rangnick

Leeds

Manchester United it is still highlighted because its performance fluctuates. But, according to Fredthe Red Devils are better together Ralph Rangnick.

MU has just gone through an energy-draining weekend against Leeds United at Elland Road, Sunday (20/2/2022) night WIB yesterday. Despite winning by a score of 4-2, MU had to struggle at the beginning of the second half.

Had a 2-0 lead in the first half, MU then conceded two goals in a short span of time so the score was 2-2. Then, Fred and Anthony Elanga ensured the three points were brought home by the 20-times Premier League champions.

This result is certainly a relief for MU considering they need a win in order to maintain the competition towards the top four. Manchester United is currently in fourth position Premier League standings with 46 points, four points ahead of West Ham United in fifth position who both played 26 times.

Moreover, MU has not been separated from the public spotlight regarding their performance with Rangnick. Since being appointed interim manager in early December, Rangnick is arguably still not satisfactory.

MU has only lost once, namely 0-1 to Wolverhampton. But from 15 games with Rangnick, MU has won only eight times and drawn six times. One of them was eliminated by Middlesbrough in the fourth round of the FA Cup on penalties.

It’s natural that fans continue to complain about Rangnick’s current performance, which is also considered a failure to maintain harmony in the dressing room. However, Fred had a different opinion.

According to the Brazilian midfielder, Manchester United are much better in the hands of Rangnick than when he was coached Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Because, MU is now playing as a team, so it’s more solid.

“We have changed, we are working on that. Rangnick is a great coach,” said Fred to ESPN Brazil.

“It is not easy if there is a change of coach in the middle of the season. But, we can fit in, we try to understand his style. We are still better at this time,” he continued.

“And we also want to win all the games. So this is very important for us. Today (last weekend) was a great win, then we have another big game on Wednesday (against Atletico Madrid) so we have to stay focused.”

“And like I said, you have to keep believing, take it one step at a time, then we try to finish the season as best we can.”
