MSI Titan GT77 HX Revealed; first laptop with 4K/144Hz Mini-LED display

MSI has unveiled its new GT Titan flagship – the GT77 HX gaming laptop. As discussed in our review of the GT77 Titan manages to highlight the desktop performance series. With its new model, MSI wants to raise the bar once again.

4K/144Hz mini LED display

The spearhead of the new Titan GT77 HX is the Mini-LED display with a resolution of 4K and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The screen itself is powered by AUO’s AmLED Mini LED imaging technology. With 1008 dimming zones, the screen uses an exclusive ‘Adaptive Image Processing’ and ‘Adaptive Dimming and Boosting’ technology. This would process the images accurately and without delays.

The maximum brightness of the screen is 1000 nits, whereby the HDR performance in combination with a deep color gamut should provide an impressive end result. For this reason, the screen of the Titan GT77 HX is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified.

The Mini-LED display is factory calibrated and provides 100% DCI-P3 coverage. This coverage is not only interesting for the overall color experience. DCI-P3 is ideal for content creators, especially in the video industry. In combination with the MSI True Color Technology software each Mini-LED is controlled individually.

CES 2023

The Titan GT77 HX will be officially launched during CES 2023. During this major technology event in Las Vegas, MSI will reveal even more news about the Titan GT77 HX, including the next generation Nvidia GeForce laptop GPU this “titan” is equipped with.
