MSI and Mercedes Team Up for Ultimate Racing Laptop at Computex 2023

Taiwanese MSI has teamed up with German Mercedes to build the ultimate racing laptop.

When it comes to computers and games, Computex is the place to be! This is where the biggest news is presented. L&B Home has traveled all the way to Taipei, Taiwan to see and experience the news away from home.

In MSI’s booth, one of the first things that greeted us was actually a machine German design!

The MSI Stealth 16 Mercedes-AMG Motorsport is the result of a new collaboration between Taiwanese MSI and German Mercedes-AMG. The portable machine, which is produced only in a limited edition, has a chassis of magnesium-aluminum alloy in a matte gray. The symbolic language is so clear that even car literate people will recognize it.

Mercedes AMG is responsible for the design, while the engine itself is developed by MSI. Here it is a question of a combination of an Intel Core i9 processor and an Nvidia RTX 40 graphics card. The screen has an unusually high resolution for gaming, with a 4K OLED in 16:10 format.

Another novelty was the MSI Raider GE78HX, which is equipped with a so-called Smart Touchpad, which is invisibly embedded in the chassis and can change size. On other invisible touchpads it is often difficult to find out where to right click, but here it was solved in a clever way with a marking on the surface. In addition, the haptic feedback with a piezo element provided a natural clicking sensation, although the metal surface itself does not yield.

MSI also had a new generation of the Titan laptop, which is their “maximize everything” model. Of course, with an i9 processor, Nvidia RTX 4090 graphics and mechanical keyboard, nothing is saved here. In the noisy exhibition hall, we couldn’t hear the four fans that cool the Titan, but they probably make a little noise.
