The incident that took place on Jalan Bangka VIII C, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta turned out to be motivated by economic motives.
Mampang Prapatan police chief, Kompol Sujarwo said the case started when the victim asked his wife for money.
However, the wife did not comply with the husband’s request.
“The two of them bickered because their husband asked for 30 thousand,” said Sujarwo at Mampang Prapatan Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Monday (17/8).
The wife, said Sujarwo, also often scolded her husband for being unemployed for almost five months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Not only that, the husband also often committed domestic violence whenever his wife scolded him.
“The suspect’s confession, emang (husband) often got angry and then often beat, this is the habit of her husband,” she said.
