The island of Salamis previously hosted the C1 category, but the final two on Saturday and Sunday were the HC category, where more UCI ranking points could be won.
It was the second competition of the season for the Latvian cyclist and he ranked ninth in the competition of 33 cyclists, earning 24 UCI ranking points.
The victory was celebrated by Swiss Andre Frischknecht, who beat Gil Gonen from Israel by 11 seconds. Bloom was two minutes and 13 seconds behind the winner.
Currently, Blums is in the 29th place in the ranking, while Latvia is currently in the 27th place in the Olympic ranking of nations. From this ranking, the best 19 national teams will be selected for the Olympic Games in Paris.
