Motorist with a striking A4 behind the window tears across the A28: ‘Fors too fast’ | Interior

A motorist lost his driver’s license after driving at high speed on the A28 between Zwolle and Staphorst. When officers had pulled over the car, they saw something else striking.

The officers were sitting in their inconspicuous car last night when a Volvo with no license plate at the rear passed them on the A28. The speed tapped by the driver was 210 kilometers per hour.

After corrections, this remained at 194 kilometers, while you can drive 120 kilometers per hour on that road. ‘Fors too hard’, writes the East Netherlands Traffic Police Team Instagram.

Strategic positioning

It was decided to stop the car. Precautions were first taken for this in case the driver would ignore that stop sign. “The control room was informed to strategically position other units,” said the police.

That turned out not to be necessary in the end, because the driver simply pulled the car over after the stop sign. This happened at Rogat in the municipality of Meppel. The driver was then able to surrender his driver’s license and received a report in return.

A4

When officers took a closer look at the vehicle, they saw an A4 sheet hanging behind the rear window. The license plate was written on it in pen. According to the police, the car turned out to be intended for export. The driver received a warning for the incorrect number plate.
