A motorist and his passenger were injured on Wednesday evening when their car crashed into a tree on Ospreenddreef in Lelystad. According to an eyewitness, the driver was thrown from the car as a result of the impact. Both victims were taken to hospital by ambulance.
The driver drove west on Ospreenddreef. After the Galjoen exit, the car ended up on the right side of the road.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident. Trauma helicopter personnel assisted with the relief efforts. Ospreenddreef was partially closed on Wednesday evening due to investigations.
