Unfortunately, the stories of assaults, robberies and fraud do not stop despite the pandemic that humanity is going through and this was the case of a Veracruz family.
In the municipality of Las Choapas, Veracruz, a woman denounced his sister and nephew, who invented a kidnapping express, to cheat her out of 60 thousand pesos.
The complainant declared to the authorities that she lent 60 thousand pesos to her sister, supposedly to pay the ransom of the young man, who had been kidnapped by an armed group; however, the boy had been hidden for almost five hours in an internet café on 20 de Noviembre Avenue, according to the investigations, as the events were recorded in two security cameras.
According to the information contained in the investigation folder CHOA / 168/2020, on July 28 the aggrieved was in her business selling sandals and clothing in the Mexico colony, when her sister Candelaria N. arrived crying and asking her to support her with a loan of 60 thousand pesos, because an armed group had kidnapped her son, Felipe N.
The woman assured that she received a phone call asking her to go out into the street with her son and, when they both left, an armed group approached them and “picked up” the young man.
The sister shouted that “they were going to kill her son,” so the victim went to a friend, who lent her 50 thousand pesos. She put in the remaining 10 thousand pesos and gave them to her sister, who she didn’t hear from all afternoon.
The next day, the complainant states that it was not possible to find her nephew, because her sister assured her that she had to go to Ocosingo, Chiapas, to attend a church conference. Faced with this very suspicious situation, the plaintiff went to the authorities to report her relatives, who will have to return the money to avoid prison.
