Moscow claims Russian passenger plane has had to deviate from course to avoid NATO spy plane / Article

It emphasized that “increased activity by NATO aircraft at Russia’s borders posed a risk of serious accidents involving civilian aircraft” and that a diplomatic protest would be filed. True, it is not mentioned which country’s plane it was.

Russian media reported on Friday that two fighter jets had been sent to escort two American spy planes over the Black Sea region.

According to the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency on Saturday night, the alleged NATO spy plane has “sharply reduced the altitude” over the flight of the Russian passenger plane “Aeroflot”, which was flown on the route Tel Aviv-Moscow. There were 142 passengers on board.

A NATO plane flying over the Black Sea did not respond to air traffic control calls and the commercial aircraft had to change direction and altitude immediately to avoid a collision, the agency said.
