Morocco takes part in the International Forum on Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Education

The Moroccan Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Said Amzazi, participated in the work of the International Forum on Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Education, organized on December 7 and 8 by the Chinese Ministry of Education in partnership with UNESCO, indicates Tuesday a press release from the ministry reached APA. Under the sign “Skills development in the age of artificial intelligence”, this forum, which saw the participation of a significant number of ministers of education and a group of education and artificial intelligence experts from all over the world, is part of the implementation of the objectives of the “Beijing Consensus” for the year 2019, which proposes to develop basic skills to bridge the digital divide, in particular those related to artificial intelligence in the field of education and training.

Speaking on this occasion, the Moroccan Minister said that the Kingdom has launched many initiatives, in partnership with the public and private sectors, aimed at developing the skills of students in the digital field and highlighting their creative energies, in addition to closing the digital acquisition gap, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, in particular Goal 4 to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, underlines the same source.

It should be noted that this important international forum organized several virtual workshops and meetings which dealt with a range of issues related to artificial intelligence and education, in addition to examining ways to meet the challenges. challenges that prevent ensuring the full and fair use of artificial intelligence.
