Moroccan press reports stated that CAF President Ahmed Ahmed was “in trouble” because of the CAF Champions League final.
It is scheduled to hold the African Champions League final of one match for the first time in the history of the African competition after it was held in the round trip system.
The Moroccan newspaper, Al-Mukhtab, reported that Ahmed Ahmed decided to assign the final to the stadium of Mohamed V boat after the Cairo Stadium stadium was withdrawn due to maintenance.
The newspaper pointed out that the African Union members, specifically from Tunisia and South Africa, expressed their protest for the final establishment in Morocco.
The newspaper revealed that Ahmed Ahmed promised the President of the Moroccan Federation, Fawzi Qaga, to establish the final of the current version in Morocco without consulting with members of the Executive Committee.
The newspaper pointed out that the protest came because the stadium was defined since the quarter-finals, which gives preference to the Wydad duo and Moroccan hope.

The African Champions League draw held last Wednesday resulted in fierce clashes in the quarter-finals.
Al-Ahly is scheduled to meet South Africa’s Sundowns, in return, Zamalek will play Tunisia’s Esperance, and Wydad Casablanca faces its rival, the Tunisian coastal star in a Maghreb Arab derby.
The last quarter-final match when Moroccan Raja Casablanca plays its rival, Mazembe of the Congo.
The draw also defined the parties of the semi-final matches, where Al-Ahly and Sundowns will face the winner from the match between Al-Najm and Al-Wadad, in return, Zamalek and Al-Tarji face the winner from the Raja and Mazembe matches.
