Mori, “resign” to blatant apology

“I will not volunteer for the Olympics”

[앵커]

The resignation of the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee Chairman Yoshiro Mori, who raised controversy over women’s demeaning remarks is overwhelming. There are also protests not to volunteer. The apology press conference held yesterday (on the 4th) was counterproductive.

Mori Yoshiro, chairman of the Tokyo Olympics organizing committee, bows his head.

I apologized the day before when I said, “If there are more women, the meeting will be longer.”

However, after he nailed that he had no intention of resigning as chairman, he asked the reporter back.

[모리 요시로/도쿄올림픽 조직위원장 : 자, 당신은 어떻게 생각합니까? (저는 당신이 적임자라고 생각하지 않습니다.) 그럼 그렇게 알고 있겠습니다. ]

I still avoided the question of whether a woman thought the horse was long, and responded by asking me to cut it.

[모리 요시로/도쿄올림픽 조직위원장 : 여러분이 (제가 올림픽에) 방해가 된다고 하면 말씀하신 대로 내가 대형 쓰레기일 수도 있으니까 내버리면 되잖아요.]

With this blatant response, demands for Mori to resign are intensifying.

The Asahi Shimbun criticized whether it would only be embarrassing around the world even if it took a ton of money for the Olympics.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government received calls to protest against volunteering at the Olympics.

The famous comedian, who was chosen as the torch relay runner, declared that he would not participate.

Prime Minister Suga criticized Mori with an attitude that seemed to surround him.
