More than twenty attacks a day: Elisa (8) has a rare form of epilepsy: “Don’t want to lock us up anymore” (Ghent)

Elisa (8) from Mariakerke suffers from a severe and rare form of epilepsy. She has up to twenty visible attacks daily and many more invisible ones. The epileptic seizures led to a major developmental delay and put a lot of pressure on the family with three children.
