More than 940 thousand tons of sugar beets have been dug up in Belarus | Economy

More than 940 thousand tons of sugar beets have been dug up in Belarus, writes BELTA with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

In Belarus, as of September 23, grains were threshed, including rapeseed, 7582.7 thousand tons, of which 6543.7 thousand tons of grains and leguminous crops (with corn) and 1039.0 thousand tons of rapeseed.

Harvesting corn for grain continues in all regions of the republic.

22.5 thousand hectares have already been harvested, and 173.0 thousand tons have been threshed with a yield of 76.9 c/ha. The green mass of corn collected was 11,454.1 thousand tons.

Also, 43.0 thousand tons of buckwheat were threshed with a yield of 14.7 c/ha, and millet – 18.1 thousand tons with a yield of 19.1 c/ha.

Flax harvested 110.5 thousand tons.

In addition, the country’s farms harvest potatoes: 339.7 thousand tons have been dug up with a yield of 351.1 c/ha.

As for sugar beets, 942.7 thousand tons have already been dug up with a yield of 445.1 c/ha.
