More than 65,000 dead in the US, several states reopen and the White House blocks Dr. Fauci’s testimony | Univision Salud News

So far, at least 19 states have announced relaxation to varying degrees of measures taken to stem the spread of the coronavirus. The following states and Puerto Rico have announced changes to their isolation measures that will take effect in the coming days.

Governor Doug Ducey announced a partial reopening that will allow retail companies to open next Monday, May 4, and during that week will report on a plan to reopen restaurants. The president extended the order to stay home until May 15.

Arizona reports 7,962 infections and 330 deaths.

A reopening plan that lifts the order to stay will take effect next Monday, May 4, in all counties except Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and Broward. State restaurants and retail stores may reopen to 25 percent of their capacity, if the corresponding city council allows it.

Florida has recorded 34,720 and 1,313 deaths.

Starting May 4, stores will begin to open in Phase 2 of 4. Manufacturing, manufacturing, and construction will resume following the required guidelines, including daily evaluation of employees who will use facial protection and social distancing. Retail and commercial businesses will open at 50% of capacity.

Indiana has 18,941 infections and 1,175 deaths.

Governor Laura Kelly issued a state order for a partial reopening beginning Monday, May 4. Mass meetings are still limited to 10 people or less. Businesses can reopen unless the governor or local city council identifies otherwise.

Kansas has recorded 4,512 and 136 deaths.

By order of Governor Tim Walz, a partial reopening was established for next Monday, May 4. Retail and other critical businesses will resume operations with sidewalk deliveries. The president extended the order to stay home at the state level until May 18.

Minnesota has 5,730 cases and 371 deaths.

Starting next Monday, May 4, state restrictions on social gatherings will be removed. All companies can reopen as long as social distancing guidelines are followed. Some businesses will be required to take additional precautions to protect their employees and the public, such as occupancy limits within establishments.

Missouri has 7,840 infections and 355 deaths.

As one of the leaders who did not issue an order to stay home, Governor Pete Ricketts reported easing restrictions on social gatherings and business operations starting next Monday, May 4. Restaurants may reopen but at 50% of their capacity. Other businesses must maintain social distance and allow only 10 people to enter at a time.

Nebraska has 4,838 cases and 73 deaths.

Governor Phil Murphy announced the reopening of New Jersey state parks, golf courses, and parks, starting Saturday morning, May 2.
New Jersey has 121,190 infections and 7,538 deaths.

Governor Wanda Vázquez announced that, starting on May 4, the financial industries, hardware stores, laundries, agriculture, university research, automotive, medical, and removals may reopen. In addition to social distancing and security measures for employees and clients.

Puerto Rico has reported 1,573 cases and 94 deaths.
