This provision was given on the basis of Ministerial Resolution 704-2022, whose objective, it is recalled, is to carry out vaccination activities against covid-19 free of charge and universally to the entire population aged 6 months or over. , resident in the country.

In this line, Minsa reminded parents, to continue with a full immunization process, that the second dose of vaccine must be administered 28 days after the first dose.

According to this age group, 2 million 404,106 children from 6 months to 4 years will be immunized; likewise 4 million 201,842 children aged 5 to 11 and 5 million 635,885 adolescents aged 12 to 19.

Minsa has instead announced that the application of the fourth dose against Covid-19 will be extended to the age group from 18 years upwards, whose application will have to be carried out five months after receiving the third dose.

Likewise, the Health Sector reiterated the importance of completing vaccination schemes and continuing to comply with the prevention measures against Covid-19, such as constant hand washing, ventilation of spaces, social distancing and the correct use of mask.

The vaccines applied come from the Moderna laboratory and Minsa reminded the population that these are safe. For this reason, she recommended that parents take their children to health facilities and vaccination centers to immunize them.
