More than 500 neighbors joined the activities of the Parque Educativo Norte » Municipalidad de Córdoba

  • Sports events, artistic festivals, adapted sports, choir, dance, gymnastics, workshops on technology and trades that bring the community closer to the world of work are held.

In the Parque Educativo Norte, different activities are being carried out within the framework of the Program “Socio-educational Nodes: learning and doing in community”, dependent on the Directorate of Educational Parks.

The proposals are aimed at promoting and guaranteeing social inclusion, strengthening community ties, promoting culture, sports, training, recreation and educational support.

Sports events, artistic festivals, adapted sports, choir, dance, gymnastics, workshops on technology and trades that bring the community closer to the world of work are held. During the first semester there were more than 530 people enrolled in the various activities.

Among the proposals, and within the framework of the sports and recreation node, the adapted sports classes stand out, a proposal designed for the inclusion of children and adults, which allows the development of motor skills and physical integrity through the activities carried out. In this sense, the CILSA organization donated wheelchairs that are used exclusively for this initiative.

The first day of the program was carried out friends playing, a proposal to reinforce learning through sports participation in an educational-recreational context. With more than 230 boys and girls, a series of mixed football matches took place. This initiative is articulated between the Secretary of Education of the Municipality of Córdoba and the Jurisdiction of Physical Education of the Ministry of Education of the province.

Within the framework of the Educational and Labor Horizons node, the day “Let’s Go Out and Roll” stands out as significant, where more than 160 students from the northern part of the city participated in the last meeting held in the North Park. It is a proposal to learn about UNC careers, participate in vocational guidance workshops and activities to promote university life with students from different secondary schools (IPEM 336 Adolfo Castelo, IPEM 155 JJ Paso and IPEM 20 Rodolfo Walsh); and the educational support spaces provided within the framework of the “Back to School” Program.

Along these lines, the Learning Opportunities Center was inaugurated in the park in May. There, more than 300 residents of the Marqués Annex neighborhood, and of more than 19 neighborhoods in the area, can access the completion of primary and secondary studies, as well as offer training in trades.

The Secretary of Education, Horacio Ferreyra stated: “It has been a stage of a lot of work, teamwork, joint efforts with the neighbors and their organizations, today in this park ideas, projects, achievements that account for a community that is committed and a present State are breathed. , as our mayor Martín Llaryora maintains”.

Within the framework of the art and culture node, different artistic expression workshops were held. The Marqués Annex neighborhood orchestra continues, providing music in the neighborhood in the afternoons, and the women’s choir, as well as piano and other instrument classes. Also, arts workshops for adults, girls, boys and young people. From these spaces they participated in the educational outings from Line E to EcoFem and the Waste Transfer Center, both spaces in charge of Ente Córdoba Obras y Servicios (COyS). They also enjoyed walks and activities in the Botanical Garden, and the Campo la Ribera Space for Memory.

Children, youth and adults participated in the Literary Week, with proposals that were part of the activities for the Day of the book in the framework of “Córdoba, a city that reads and writes”. The activities integrated reading, literary production and experiential workshops.

In line with promoting intercultural encounters and strengthening family and community ties, the first Family Festival was held in the Parque Educativo Norte. An event to promote the meeting with the community and exhibit samples of artistic and cultural activities.

Within the framework of the environment and health care node, actions continue and were expanded along with the network of dining rooms and picnic areas of Marqués Annex around healthy cooking. Also, proposals for life in nature and urban walking were carried out together with UNC students.

In this line, the director of Educational Parks, Eugenia Rotondi, celebrated the achievements and the work carried out, and valued: “Important actions have been carried out for the community, new proposals were added and existing ones have been strengthened. We have a work team that grows and approaches the proposals with love and thinking of including more and more neighbors. This allows us, together with the rest of the Parks, to advance in networking, building meanings around meeting, education and enjoyment in the city”.

On the occasion of the six-monthly closing of the workshops of the Parque Educativo Norte, a meeting of teachers, workshop facilitators and students was held at the Camping de la Reserva Municipal General San Martín. An interdisciplinary and integrating proposal where different socio-recreational and recreational activities were carried out in an open space.

The deputy director of the North Educational Park, Celeste García, pointed out: “Observing the constant growth of the Institution also reflects the growth in values, ideas and life projects that the community that inhabits the Parque Educativo Norte has been experiencing. It is a great pride to have a work team that constantly seeks to overcome the barrier of “the impossible”, with the conviction that socio-educational work, proposed from the Educational Parks, is the path that allows each Cordovan citizen to be trained in their life Proyect”.
