After sending 1,186 pairs of glasses last October on the occasion of World Sight Day, the Lions Club of Chartres Jean-Moulin made its second annual shipment with 3,845 glasses.
They were collected by François Debain, owner of the Pierre Leman store and Brigitte Neirizi, head of the collection commission with the support of one of the members, Maurice Riffait.
The club renews this operation twice a year. The glasses, after being restored, are sent to Africa, among other places.
