The number of corona deaths in France has risen to more than 26,000. As of Friday, 26,230 people have died there since the epidemic began, the Ministry of Health said. In the past 24 hours, the country has had 243 deaths in hospitals and nursing homes. The number of patients in intensive care units continues to decline.
Four regions in the country account for 72 percent of the cases treated in hospitals. These are: the greater Paris area, the Grand Est region, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes in the southeast of the country and Hauts-de-France in the north.
