More than 1,000 people demonstrate against the covid passport in Barcelona

More than 1,000 people have participated this Saturday afternoon in a demonstration anti covid passport in Barcelona. They have done it without distance and without a mask. During the rally, cries were heard in favor of freedom and against the COVID certificate.

Shouts of freedom without respecting the safety distance and most of them also without a mask. They ask that the obligation of the COVID passport to access bars, restaurants or gyms be eliminated. In Catalonia, this rule has barely been in force for 48 hours and threatens to repeat this type of concentration if this obligation is not repealed.

Among the slogans that the protesters have launched, it was possible to hear “it is not a pandemic, it is a dictatorship, it is not for your health, it is for control” or “We are not afraid”. The demonstration began at 6:00 p.m. in the Plaza de la Universitat and advanced along Via Laietana until arriving at around 7:30 p.m. before the Palace of the Generalitat.

Protests in Europe

Protests against lockdowns and restrictions are multiplying in many European countries. They are protests against all the decisions that many governments are making for two reasons: reasons incidence increases and that also appears new variant of the virus, omicron. Restrictions have been activated in practically all of Europe against those coming from southern Africa.

The United Kingdom asks again from next Tuesday a negative test before flying over there. The unvaccinated already had to do it and now it is for all travelers. He announced it this afternoon.

In Germany, this ban on the unvaccinated is practically effective throughout the country. Many have taken to the streets to protest today. They are no longer the tens of thousands they came to be during the first wave, but they still make noise. The denialist movement has returned to the streets to protest against the de facto confinement of the unvaccinated and the possible introduction of vcompulsory cradle. The most massive has been the demonstration in Hamburg, which was attended by some 5,000 people. Much smaller those of Frankfurt, Hannover or Berlin, which also they had forbidden when verifying that the organizers were people who have repeatedly violated the rules of health and distancing. The protests have been closed with clashes and arrests.

In Vienna, more than 40,000 people have come out to protest against the restrictions and against the mandatory vaccination starting in February. Despite the confinement in Austria, the right to demonstrate is maintained. Also in the Netherlands, thousands of people have demonstrated against the bans on the unvaccinated, measures that are increasingly opposed on the street and among some parties of the government coalition.
