Last week, 5,191 corona tests were conducted in the test streets of Hollands Midden. In the test streets, hospitals and nursing and care homes together, a total of 117 people tested positive for corona, which is 1.8 percent. “Another increase compared to last week,” said the GGD. Last Thursday, the mayor of Hillegom said it was coronavirus was under control in his municipality.
In addition to the two new clusters in Hillegom and Teylingen, there are active clusters in Bodegraven-Reeuwijk, Gouda and Krimpenerwaard. By ‘active’ is meant that the GGD expects that more contamination will follow from these clusters.
Alphen aan den Rijn extinguished
The people involved are in home isolation, but because they have recently been in close contact with others, these close contacts can also become ill. A person can become ill up to fourteen days after contact with an infected person.
The cluster in Alphen aan den Rijn has now been extinguished, which means that no new infections have been added, or will be added, reports the GGD on Tuesday.
Poolcafé The Pocket
The GGD calls on some of the visitors of pool café The Pocket in Katwijk to report to the GGD. It concerns visitors who visited the café on July 25 between 9 p.m. and 11.30 p.m. and who have complaints. Around that time, there was a customer in the cafe, who at that time had no complaints, but later turned out to be infected. Later, another cafe visitor who was there at the same time was also diagnosed with corona.
