More of the same? Xiaomi launches Poco M3 Pro 5G, twin brother of Redmi Note 10 5G – 06/29/2021

Poco Brasil launches today, in an online event in its social networks, o Poco M3 Pro 5G, fifth model of the brand — which was born from Xiaomi — here in the country.

O cell has very similar specs to the Redmi Note 10 5G, released by Xiaomi last week. The price is also compatible. While its “brother” was released for R$ 2,699, the Poco M3 Pro 5G goes for R$ 2,999.99, but with a launch promotion: R$ 2,399.99 just today, on official website for the brand’s sales in Brazil.

The Poco M3 Pro 5G was launched worldwide about a month ago, and it arrives here in Brazil with connectivity to the fifth generation internet network, being, together with the Moto G 5G, gives Motorola, and the Galaxy A 32, from Samsung, one of the 5G cell phones with the lowest launch price in Brazil.

As with the Redmi Note 10 5G, Poco’s new cell phone also did not receive a screen Amoled, like other recent Xiaomi releases. It has been equipped with a screen LCD very large, with 6.5 inches (16.5 centimeters) and Full HD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels.

One of its highlights is its 90 Hz refresh rate, which represents better fluidity in the transition of images — cell phones in the same price range usually work with 60 Hz.

Directly, the only difference between the Poco cell phone and the Redemi Note 10 5G is the memory (6GB against 4GB), which is a nice addition for those who enjoy playing games, and the occasional aesthetic detail. It’s curious that cell phones are very similar. Obviously, each of the brands has a distinct audience (Poco focuses on the younger audience, for example), but it is striking how the differences are so small between them.

In the set of cameras, the Poco M3 Pro 5G has a 48 MP main lens. Rounding out the set is a 2MP macro lens (for taking close-up shots without losing focus) and a 2MP depth sensor (for blurring the background in “portrait mode” photos). The selfie lens has 8 MP.

The processor is the MediaTek MT6833 Dimensionality 700 5G, plus 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 512GB using a card.

There is digital reader built into the power button on the side, 3.5mm headphone jack and NFC support – which allows payments by approximation -, in addition to Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 5.

According to Poco, the battery, with 5,000 mAh of power, lasts up to two days without needing to be charged. In the product box comes a 22.5 watt charger, with the promise of charging the phone from 0% to 100% in 109 minutes.

The design should please fans of Pocophones: With curved edges and glossy finish, it has the brand name written right below the camera set. There are two colors available: black (Power Black) and blue (Cool Blue).

The yellow version, according to the product manager at Poco in Brazil, Roberto Scodeler, does not yet have a date to arrive here in the country.
