Moravian-Silesian hygienists have abolished the limit at swimming pools, athletes can put down their veils

“For outdoor mass events and indoor events, we have set an exception for wearing veils for athletes. They don’t have to have them in training, a match or in a competition, “said Pavla Svrčinová, director of the Ostrava Regional Hygiene Station.

She added that in the case of artificial swimming pools, the limit of 500 people was abolished. “The capacity of all artificial swimming pools was determined uniformly, which will reflect the size of the given swimming pool, so that the limit of 10 square meters per person will be maintained,” Svrčinová specified.

These changes concern all districts in the Moravian-Silesian Region except Bruntál, where emergency measures are much looser and veils are worn there only in medical and social facilities. In other districts of the Moravian-Silesian Region, the obligation to protect your nose and mouth in public transport and inside buildings remains in force. Restaurants and bars must close at midnight.

Hygienists monitor and evaluate the situation in the region on a daily basis and are ready to alleviate other emergency measures, if the situation allows it, or, conversely, to tighten them for preventive reasons.
