In addition to the BUILD for developers and the Inspire for partners, the Ignite is Microsoft’s third major conference and is aimed at IT pros and decision-makers. It took place in Chicago for the first time in 2015, a year later she moved to Atlanta from there to Orlando in Florida, where she had her permanent location from 2017 to 2019.
In 2020 there will be another change of location, this year the Ignite will take place in New Orleans in the state of Louisiana. The date is also (again) moving forward: From September 21 to 25, around 25,000 specialists from all over the world will meet to get first-hand information about all Microsoft technologies.

Remember the dates of the other two major Microsoft conferences in 2020:
- Microsoft Build: 19. bis 21. Mai in Seattle
- Microsoft Inspire: July 19-23 in Las Vegas
As the BUILD moves backwards and the Ignite moves forward, this leads to a certain “density”. The three most important Microsoft events take place within four months.
