Montauban. A junior from Racing signs in hope at Stade Montois

It’s a great adventure ahead for Pierre André, Racing Club Montalbanais junior at fullback. Indeed, from this month of July, he joins the training center of Stade Montois, recent vice champion of France of Pro D2. Rugby lover, persevering, challenger at heart, Pierre learned of the selection dates for the Stade Montois hopefuls team, at the end of May. He decided to try his luck, and he was right.

Born in Montauban in 2003 and originally from Agen, Pierre started rugby at an early age at the Valence-d’Agen rugby school, the club where his late father played. His small size not having hit the bull’s eye, Pierre was not selected. Arrived in the club on tiptoe 3 years ago, Pierre progressed quietly within the junior group. In three seasons, he went from a discreet, impulsive player to a diligent player and team manager. Quietly, Pierre relied on the experience of his coaches and the confidence of senior players, very protective and benevolent, to enrich himself and progress further.

He remembers his arrival at the RCM: “I will not forget the few meetings I had with the senior reserve team and I thank the coaches and players for their trust. The final phases experienced this season both with the senior team and the junior team, will certainly remain my best rugby memory. A new experience is beginning now and I will have, I hope, the opportunity to come and play in Montauban, against my friend Melvin Duprez, also from Racing, who signed a hopeful contract at USM.” Racing is very proud of its career
