Moneybagg Yo’s album ‘A Gangsta’s Pain’ features Pharrell, Future, More – Marseille News

Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo released his latest album A Gangsta’s Pain through N-Less Entertainment and Interscope Records. Among the long list of songs of 22 songs on the album is “Certified Neptunes”, a collaboration with the hitmaker Pharrell.

Pharrell produced “Certified Neptunes” alongside Chad Hugo, better known as a production duo creating under the moniker The Neptunes – hence the song’s nod to the influential couple.

In a recent interview, Pharrell said that Moneybagg Yo is his favorite rapper at the moment. Asked about the co-signer in an interview with Houston BMW Studios, the rapper said, “He’s a living legend. I look at him as if he was passing the torch, he was swinging with it.

Moneybagg Yo and Pharrell bounce off each other on the chorus of the track where they bring back the rapper’s theme: reveling in your own success without needing to impress anyone. “Blow the money, push it, get it back,” he says in the first verse. “It’s so simple.”

Along with the album’s release, Moneybagg Yo shared the visual for “Shottas (Lala)” which takes him from his hometown of Tennessee to the tropical heat of Kingston, Jamaica.
