Holy month Ramadan one of them is filled with Muslims by performing worship fast. Not to mention a footballer who played in the German League for Augsburg, Moussa Niakhate.
In the German League match in the middle of last week, the 26-year-old French centre-back broke his fast in the middle of the field. The scene went viral in recent days.
Azan Maghrib the breaking sign apparently resounded in the middle of the Augsburg vs Mainz match. Mentioned Sportin the 65th minute referee Matthias Jöllenbeck was asked for permission to stop the match for a while so that Moussa Niakhate could break his fast.
The field judge gave his blessing. So Moussa Niakhate was then seen breaking his fast in the middle of the match which ended with the score 2-1 for his team’s victory.
“At the beginning of the second half I asked the referee if there was a way to stop the game for a while? He could have refused and I would have understood. (But) he gave permission,” Niakhate said appreciatively to the referee, as reported by the news agency. Awoum.com.
A number of media said that it was a historic moment because it was the first time that a match in the German Bundesliga was temporarily suspended to give players the opportunity to break their fast.
Similar thing, say GiveMeSport then continued on to the matches last weekend. One of them was when RB Leipzig player Mohamed Siamakan was given permission to break his fast in the middle of the match against Hoffenheim by referee Bastian Dankert.
