Although these three developers work hand in hand and share development information, it must be admitted that there is always something special when Infinity Ward is in charge of Call of Duty that year. The appeal of the series they are working on is getting stronger when the reboot process for the Modern Warfare series that took place in 2019, through new story lines and characters that are now wrapped in more capable visuals, turned out to be a huge success in the market. With Modern Warfare II confirmed, it now showcases the attractiveness of the existing campaign mission design.
Taking advantage of the Summer Game Fest 2022 hype, Activision and Infinity Ward showed off a little side of the campaign titled “Dark Water” which showed the team infiltrating a rig that seemed to have been overrun by terrorists. Comes with eye-pleasing visuals complete with military movements and dramatic angles, it does look promising. Infinity Ward also ensures the return of two characters who now of course have different looks and functions in the reboot series: Soap and Ghost in Task Force 141.
