Bar Refaeli was convicted of four counts of tax evasion by the Tribunal in Tel Aviv, Israel. The model is accused, among other things, of having provided multiple false statements to the Israeli tax authorities. Indeed, for several years, she would have lied by claiming not to live in the country, and by hiding significant income earned abroad thanks to her profession as a model.

The presenter was also accused of not having declared in taxes the many gifts received such as luxury cars or apartments worth more than one million shekels, or 273,908 francs. All with a single goal: to avoid paying Israeli taxes.

A fine of almost 700,000 francs
Bar Refaeli and his mother Tzipi Refaeli pleaded guilty in view of the numerous charges against them. Mother and daughter confessed to providing false statements so as not to have to pay taxes on an estimated income of nearly $ 10 million. According to BFM TV, both were thus ordered to pay a fine of 2.5 million Shekels (or nearly 684,770 francs) in addition to the sums initially owed to the Israeli state. The wife of businessman Adi Ezra will also have to do community service for a period of nine months.
