“The mobilization for blood donation has never been so important in Vallon-en-Sully since the creation of the association in 2007”, underlined the officials of the local association.
Indeed, the collection organized by the French Blood Establishment (EFS) of Moulins made it possible to welcome fifty donors including four new ones. And among them, Méline who stretched out her arm for the first time, on her 18th birthday, under the eyes of her dad, a faithful donor.
A second donation
All were welcomed in a warm atmosphere and enjoyed a snack served by the volunteers of the association. With, on the menu, potato pâté, cold meats, cheese platter, fruit basket and brioche.
Thanks to the mobilization of donors from Vallon and neighboring municipalities, including Hérisson, Nassigny and Épineuil-le-Fleuriel, among others, the EFS was able to schedule a second donation in Vallon-en-Sully, for the year 2022. to be remembered are on Monday 27 June and Thursday 3 November. Also thanks to an efficient territorial network developed by the EFS for 2022, the two collections of Vallon-en-Sully and the four collections of Hérisson will each be separated by eight weeks. This will allow the donors of Vallon-en-Sully to be able to go and donate their blood to Hérisson and vice versa.
President Dominique Péronin particularly thanked Brigitte, Joëlle, Pierre, Dominique, Jean-Claude and Joël “who give of their time without counting”. At the level of the installation of banners, the distribution of leaflets, the preparation and storage of the room, as well as the service of meals to donors.
