RUKA. Moa Ilar made her best individual effort in the World Cup.
She came fourth – and received a consolation prize from Frida Karlsson.
– I have to wait for the first podium place, says Ilar.
Moa Ilar finished 12 seconds after Frida Karlsson and the podium – but when she stood in the mixed zone, she still did it with a medal around her neck.
– It is a “wooden medal” like this – a medal made of wood. I got it from Frida. A consolation prize for fourth place, says Ilar to Sportbladet.
How is it standing with it?
– I am a happy fourth, but I am close to the podium. We have to keep waiting for it.
Ilar describes himself as “super satisfied”.
– I am satisfied to be able to show that I have stepped up and that the victory last weekend (in the Swedish premiere in Gällivare) was not a one-off. It’s a good sign that the training has paid off, she says.

“Moa would have it”
The fourth place is Moa Ilar’s best individual result in the World Cup. She has taken her previous podium places in the relay.
– I thought Moa would have it (the medal). She “farted” today! says Frida Karlsson.
Was she happy?
– Yes, it was the hon.
This is not Frida Karlsson’s first “medal cup”. During the WC last winter, she also fixed one for Linn Svahn.
