ml. Boleslav – Bohemians 4: 3, Boleslav’s players lost three times, but in the end they won

During the season so far the “kangaroos” have lost points in six matches on the opposing fields only for a draw at Sparta, today they also started very offensive and were soon rewarded. Referee Berek watched the fight in front of Boleslav’s goal on video, noticed that Suchý helped himself with his hand in the fight with Prekop and ordered a penalty kick. Květ, who scored a hat-trick in his previous trip to Slovakia, converted the penalty.

Just like a week ago at Slavia, Boleslav had to make up for the goal gap in the fourth minute. In midfield, however, they missed notably the experienced attacking midfielder Matějovský, sidelined due to a muscle injury. And so the opponent was again closer to the door.

The hosts made themselves known only at the end of the first half, when perhaps the opponents would have already seen each other in the locker room. In the third minute of the allotted time, Mareček ran into a cross from Šimk and flew the ball into the net of the mother team, who agreed to get him started in a common match, which is not usual in the Czech league.

The draw encouraged the hosts who were much more active after the team change, but it was once again the guests who were more dangerous. A large group of Vršovice fans were satisfied for the first time by Jánoš’s long-range volley in the 55th minute, but Šeda was able to face it. Then, within a minute, Drchal had two chances. First he also grounded Šeda during the interval, but only hit the side net, the second time he already aimed precisely.

In just four minutes, however, Fulnek’s cross from the sideline swept through the defense and Pech equalized for the second time at the far post. In the 67th minute the referee Berka returned to look at the screen and this time he did not please the guests. He changed the original yellow for Jánoš to red. In the third, the video referee revealed that Šimek committed a foul on Drchal in the penalty area and Květ also converted his second penalty. It was his seventh league goal this season.

In the end, however, the home team took advantage of their numerical superiority. First Šimek equalized with a header and Mareček, with his second goal of the match, took the lead for the home side for the first time. He thus secured their first home victory in Central Bohemia’s league since winning over České Budějovice in April. The Bohemians have no pleasant memories of the Mladá Boleslav stadium, they won here the last time in 2017, today they lost here for the sixth time in a row.
