María Cecilia Aureliano Sixto, student of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), was found dead after reporting her disappearance that occurred on Thursday, March 12.
Through a brief statement, the official Twitter account of the UNAM, He expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the young student of the highest house of studies.
“The UNAM and the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters accompany the family of our student María Cecilia Aureliano Sixto in this painful process and express our heartfelt condolences before the irreparable loss”, UNAM noted.
In the same statement, the highest house of studies in Mexico said that it would not make a pronouncement in respect to the family of the young woman who disappeared on Thursday.
“Out of respect for the express request and the grieving of the relatives, this house of studies and the Faculty will not issue any other pronouncement in this regard”, UNAM statement.
Just Friday, a day after the young student disappeared, the faculty where she studied issued a statement in which she reported on the disappearance of Aureliano Sixto.
Through it, the faculty of the highest house of studies, explained that the student’s relatives had filed the complaint for disappearance with the Special Prosecutor for the Search, Location and Investigation of Missing Persons (FIPEDE).
