Sony made the price and release date of the PlayStation 5 known. The PlayStation 5 Digital Edition costs 399.99 euros and the regular PlayStation 5 sells for 499.99 euros. Both consoles are from 19 november available in the Netherlands and Belgium, among others. During the PlayStation 5 Showcaseevent, not a single word was said about pre-orders. But the next morning was completely sold out within minutes!
The Japanese company reported via Twitter apologized for the chaotic pre-order process. And promised the coming days new stock available for pre-orders. Of course, it’s not uncommon for new consoles to sell like hot cakes, but communication works wonders.
If you want to score another PlayStation 5, then you could be in luck today or very soon. Multiple retailers in the United States confirm that they are indeed getting new stock. Including the American GameSpot and Amazon are taking new pre-orders again.
Dutch retailers like Bol.com, Wehkamp.nl, MediaMarkt.nl of Amazon.nl have not yet announced anything. Now that it is known that Americans have received more consoles, it is only a matter of time that Europe’s turn will also come.
