With the wealth she has, overall Miriam is currently listed as the 42nd richest person in the world.

Reporting from the Adelson Family Foundation website, Miriam Adelson earned a BSc degree in microbiology and genetics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. After that Miriam continued her medical studies at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, where she graduated with an MD degree magna cum laude.

Miriam specializes in internal and emergency medicine. Miriam is also recorded as having been the head of internal medicine and emergency medicine at Rokach (Hadassah) Hospital in Tel Aviv.
