Those who regularly take the Breisgau S-Bahn between Breisach / Endingen via Freiburg to Donaueschingen / Seebrugg need strong nerves. Trains fail, are late or the connections are missed. From Wednesday (June 17th, 2020), the Ministry of Transport will return a monthly contribution to loyal customers.
Regular customers of the Breisgau S-Bahn can apply for a one-time compensation for a monthly contribution from Wednesday (17.06.2020). The DB Regio and the Ministry of Transport would like to thank commuters for staying loyal to the train despite poor performance, as the Baden-Württemberg Transport Minister Winfried Hermann announced:
It was not an advertisement for the rail and I understand well that many have been annoyed about late and canceled trains just last year. It was no different for me. With this customer campaign, the companies are showing that they assume responsibility if operations have not gone well in the long term. ”
Compensation will be given to passengers who were affected on the Breisgau S-Bahn route between July 2019 and January 2020 and who had a monthly or annual ticket, a subscription, a DB long-distance train ticket or a Bahncard 100. Customers can apply for the repayment of a monthly contribution via bwegt website of the country put.
The Breisgau S-Bahn is one of ten routes in the country for which there is compensation.
