“The art of programming and programming art” is a new course from the BiblioRedes Young Programmers platform, belonging to the National Cultural Heritage Service. Its objective is to provide knowledge about digital and programming tools to create their own works and express an artistic vision. Registration will be open from June 22.

Young Programmers of BiblioRedes (www.jovenesprogramadores.cl) has designed a course specially designed to take advantage of the multiple computer programs that allow designing and programming art in an innovative and creative way. Is about “The art of programming and programming art». that will allow the participants to have a comprehensive and practical understanding of digital art through a careful selection of digital tools and programming.

You will learn to distinguish digital tools and artistic disciplines, to use the Scratch programming language to design geometric art and to understand programming environments to create 3D sculptures, music and video games. In addition, you will learn Artificial Intelligence tools such as Dall ey and ChatGPT to create, in an ethical and thoughtful way, digital painting and other textual resources.

In a world where new technologies are driving advances in various areas, from medicine to construction and education, art has also evolved. “The extension of aesthetic creation and innovation through digital resources expands the frontiers of possible universes and gives imagination a new field of development. With Jóvenes Programadores we have the possibility of giving access to these technologies to all the regions and territories of the country, and that implies greater possibilities of growth and development for all people”, says Nélida Pozo Kudo, director of the National Service of Cultural Heritage.

This course is taught in an asynchronous mode, that is, each student will be able to access the contents and take the assessments at any time of the day, according to their own time availability. In addition, they will have the support of tutors trained in each thematic area of ​​the course. Upon completion, they will receive a diploma supported by BiblioRedes and the Inter-American Consortium for Distance Education (CREAD) that certifies the knowledge acquired.
